Get Involved
How Do I Get Involved?
Join us in promoting safe and health discussions about drug use by young people in Dallas!
Coalition – a voluntary, strategic, alliance… to enhance [our ability] to achieve a common purpose by sharing risks, responsibilities, resources and rewards. Coalitions are the most effective and efficient vehicle for community problem solving. Coalitions help enhance the community by creating positive change and promoting healthy lifestyles in the community.
What it takes to be a member:
- Commit time, expertise, in-kind service and support to DADPP’s mission and strategies
- Sign a Partnership Agreement
- Attend Coalition meetings
Speakers Bureau
The Dallas Area Drug Prevention Partnership Speakers Bureau represents a collaborative effort between multiple organizations throughout the metroplex, giving us the ability to better accommodate requests from our community. DADPP, along with our various partners, are equipped to handle requests from schools, colleges, sports organizations, companies, non-profits, parents, professional organizations and more.
Our network represents a wide range of knowledge and information to suit any request you may have. Our Speakers Bureau gives the community access to speakers from organizations such as The Council on Alcohol & Drugs, Dallas Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, Baylor Scott & White Project RED, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Mosaic Family Services, Tobacco Free North Texas, Child & Family Guidance Center, Youth 180, and many others. If DADPP is unable to fulfill your request, we are dedicated to finding someone who can.
Please review the list of presentation topics available below. If you would like to discuss a topic that you do not see listed, or to move forward with scheduling a presentation, please contact June Deibel at [email protected]. We ask that you provide at least 3 weeks’ notice from your perspective date. Also, please note that during our busy seasons (such as October, due to Red Ribbon Week), our availability will be limited. Presentation requests are accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
